CALTON HILL
Whether you climb it at dawn or dusk, the panoramic views from Calton Hill are always spectacular. If you're feeling energetic, Arthur's Seat is a longer, steeper climb, but well worth it for the incredible scenery.
DEAN VILLAGE
Edinburgh’s stunning Dean Village was once a prosperous hamlet with eleven working mills on the strong currents of the city's river. Today, it’s an oasis of calm in the city, bursting with beauty, character and instagramable streets. It's impossible to leave this place without a good shot.
VICTORIA STREET
Did you know that this was the inspiration for J.K. Rowling’s Diagon Alley? With its historic architecture, elegant curve and colourful shop fronts, Victoria Street is one of the city's most picturesque locations and it's clear to see why.
SCOTTISH NATIONAL GALLERY OF MODERN ART
Saunter through the many rooms. Stroll in the stunning sculpture garden. Enjoy a relaxing coffee on the terrace. In the two buildings, known as Modern One and Modern Two, masterpieces by Picasso and Warhol hang alongside artworks by Scottish artists.
STOCKBRIDGE
With its village feel, boutique shops, friendly locals and farmers market, this is a popular spot for mooching on the weekends. If you’re on the hunt for Edinburgh photo ops, be sure to add Circus Lane in Stockbridge to your list.
