Car Parking
We have spaces in the Sandgate MSCP (Postcode NE1 2NG), which is just over the road from the hotel. Simply drive in, park on the top blue floor in a Malmaison or public space and provide your registration number when checking into the hotel. When it is time to leave, simply drive out. The car park operates with ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), so failure to provide your registration may result in a fine from the car park company.
If you are lucky enough to be staying with us for more than one night you only need to let us know your registration once, but if you plan on leaving the car park during your stay, please let reception know when you return.
The charge, which will be added to your hotel bill is £10 per night Monday to Thursday, or £6 per night Friday to Sunday. These prices are based on 24 hour stays. For day visitors, there is an hourly rate which can be paid directly at the car park, using the payment machines at the end of your visit.
The car park has a height restriction of 2.19 metres.

A1(M) from the South
At Junction 65 on the A1, take the slip road off which is signposted A184 Gateshead/Newcastle (if you see the Metrocentre on your right hand side you have travelled too far). Follow the road staying in the left hand lane (but not turning off), this will take you straight over a roundabout and lead you to the Tyne Bridge (avoiding the Redheugh Bridge). Take the 1st exit off the Tyne Bridge then at the roundabout take the 4th exit off heading towards the Quayside, follow the road and take the right turning in front of Melbourne House, follow the road around to the left and down the bank to the river Tyne, you will see Malmaison (the second building) in front of you to your left. Parking is on the Sandgate car park, hotel residents are required to park on the 3rd floor (fees applicable).
A1(M) from the North

From the Tyne Bridge

Parking is on the Sandgate car park, hotel residents are required to park on the 3rd floor (fees applicable).

We are located 10 minutes away from Newcastle Central Station by taxi (available outside the station), or 20 minutes on foot.
