Leeds City Centre is known as the Knightsbridge of the North, with a unique mix of stylish pedestrianised high streets and state-of-the-art shopping centres

By Day

Leeds is a shopaholics paradise, with Victorian arcades, historic buildings and Edwardian markets playing host to over 1,000 shops and cafes. But if shopping isn't your bag, why not immerse yourself in the interactive and powerful atmosphere of the Royal Armouries. For a slightly more gentle aesthetic experience, you could even soak up the inspirational art and sculpture at Leeds City Art Gallery or The Henry Moore Institute. And don't forget Party in the Park, Opera North and West Yorkshire Playhouse's massive theatre productions.

By Night

The city centre alone has upwards of 90 restaurants, 4 renowned theatres, 29 nightclubs with late licenses, and over 180 pubs. Call Lane is hip and stylish, or for something a little more traditional, why not try the bars and restaurants of Granary Wharf? Saturday night comedy at HiFi is an absolute must, or if you're in the mood for something a little more cultural, the Leeds City Varieties Music Hall hosts a wealth of top music and comedy talent, and is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful theatres in the whole country.
