Rooms & Suites
With 100 slinky rooms and incredible suites to choose from, Malmaison Edinburgh puts the hot into hotel. All of our rooms in Edinburgh offer sophisticated splendour, but often with a tartan twist. And amidst the subtly caledonian ambiance, there's everything from free Wi-Fi to roll-top baths to remind you that this former Seaman's mission (and erstwhile house of negotiable affection) is now the last word in luxury in Leith. And if you want a subtle reminder of Malmaison Edinburgh's nautical past, why not ask for a harbour view?
All our rooms have the complete set of Mal ingredients - great beds for sleepy heads, moody lighting, en-suite bathrooms with baths and power showers, CD players, digital TV, serious wines and naughty nibbles. Other little luxuries include same-day laundry, exclusive toiletries that you're encouraged to take with you, 'vroom' 24 hour room service, fast and free Wi-Fi, hairdryers, ironing board and iron and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities.
Please note that extra beds can only be supplied for children aged 3-14 years old and are only available in Superior rooms, £30 is charged per extra bed, per night. Cots are available for babies. For special requests, please contact Bookings Central on 0845 365 4247.

With unhindered views of the spectacular Edinburgh skyline you take a good look at Arthur's Seat. Legendary? - yes. Comfortable? - No sir. You decide your own seat and oversized king bed for that matter are more than mythical for this night. Relaxing from your bath in this open plan attic room you channel the very spirit of Arthur, majestically waiting for your bottle of wine and lamb rack to rise from the kitchens like the Lady from the Lake herself.
You could get used to Edinburgh hotel rooms like this. Sunrise over the waters of Leith, as you wake from the four poster. Walk-in shower or full-blown bath? Ordinarily you'd take the shower, but as it's sporting a tartan lick of paint and there's a TV at the foot of the tub, you plump for the soak. A little appropriate chamber music from the Bose system and the morning's off to a glorious start. Robed up sometime later, you can understand why so many seamen made it their mission to come here.
