Edinburgh Cocktail Weekend
It's nearly Edinburgh Cocktail Weekend! As you know, we love any excuse for a party or to get creative with our cocktails. This year we've teamed up with Pernod Ricard and Leith Gin to host a series of cocktail masterclasses at Malmaison Edinburgh, and we've also created a throwback treat... The Black Jack cocktail.
Our signature cocktail and was created by our Assitant Bar Manager Laura Burns; introducing The Black Jack.
A refreshing twist on your favourite childhood sweetie. It's light and zesty with a sharp daring punch.
To whip one up at home, you will need...
35ml Havanna Especial
25ml Blackberry syrup
15ml Lime juice
2 mint leaves
Pour it up...
In a tall beaker or cocktail shaker, add your Havana and Pernod to ice, mixing thoroughly. Next add your blackberry syrup and squeeze in a little lime juice. Shake vigorously to mix and chill. Next simply double strain over crushed ice. All that's left is to add the final flourish, a garnish of a Black Jack & mint sprig. Enjoy!
