Be Bikini Ready in 48 Hours
No matter how strong the desire to look incredible on the beach, dieting just isn’t my bag. Anyone who can say no to a three-course meal and cocktails is an honest to God hero in my eyes.
That being said, I still feel the same panic when I’m packing my suitcase and realise I’ve spent the past 6 months in the bar instead of the gym.
Which is where these bikini body hacks come in… Make the most of your last 48 hours before strutting your stuff by the pool, and I promise you’ll feel like a supermodel.
1. Say No to Salt
Salt is what makes everything delicious, but sadly also the number one cause of bloating. Avoid processed foods and you’ll be amazed at how quickly the puffiness vanishes from your face, not to mention your tummy and hips.
2. …and alcohol
I didn’t say this was going to be fun.
The fact of the matter is, alcohol = bloat. Swap your Martini for a Virgin tipple for just two days, and then you can fill your boots with Margaritas all holiday.
3. Avoid carbs
This would be a much shorter list if I just laid out what you can actually indulge in… Basically everything sweet, salty or bready is off the menu. Switch white bread for high-fibre grains like brown rice or quinoa to slim down overnight.
Water is the greatest beauty product going. It’s the cheapest and easiest way to improve how you look and feel. Make sure you’re getting at least 2 litres of the good stuff each day and you’re sure to see an improvement in your skin and mood, not to mention it can combat water retention!
5. Sweat it out
Someone call the obvious cops… Getting into the gym or out for a run is one of the best ways to prep for the poolside. You don’t have to go crazy, but a short run or fun gym class will boost your metabolism, improve your blood flow and complexion, and make you feel amazing.
6. Hear me RAW
If you're serious about this, try a raw food diet for a day or two. Filling your plate with natural goodness and veggies will make your skin glow and reduce bloating with an influx of fibre. Make sure you do your research though - crash diets aren't for the long term.
7. Take your Vitamins
Probiotics will get rid of excess gas and bloating, so try pop down to your local health food shop to find some.

It can also prevent your chances of getting burnt in the sun, because if you’ve already got a killer tan you can chill in the shade in peace.
9. Straighten Up
Your posture can be the difference between you looking your best or your worst. Stand up straight and strike a pose to instantly drop a dress size.
10. Be Confident
Clichéd but true. Your attitude inside will reflect how you look on the outside. The most important thing here is that you enjoy your time on holiday and feel great. Work it, and have fun!
