Price Match Promise Terms & Conditions
The Price Match Promise applies to Malmaison and Hotel du Vin reservations made on our own brand websites www.malmaison.com and www.hotelduvin.com, and for which a confirmation number has been issued to validate the reservation. To submit a claim under the Price Match Promise, you must complete the online claim form.
Applicable rates / Exclusions
Price Match Promise applies solely to hotel room bookings, excluding the sale of inclusive packages (i.e. travel and accommodation packages, theatre or spa breaks, etc.).
The Promise also does not apply if the average nightly lower price is obtained from a website where you call to get the price, or from an e-mail that you received.
The rates covered by the Price Match Promise must be accessible to the general public and available for reservation; expressly excluded are: - group rates - corporate rates - conference and seminar rates - specific promotional offers granting an additional discount after the booking is made (i.e. promotional codes supplied further to the registration in a newsletter) - rates granted to Malmaison and Hotel du Vin partners and their employees - rates granted to Malmaison and Hotel du Vin employees.
The Promise applies to comparing exactly the same packages or inclusive prices with the same included items. Thus, room prices including food or beverage items such as breakfast or dinner, entertainment items such as tickets to a show, parking or other bundled items will be considered as packages, and must be entirely equivalent to be eligible for the Promise.
Matching accommodation type, prices and booking terms.
The Price Match Promise applies to the same room category as booked on Malmaison and Hotel du Vin websites, including any specific views and specifications.
The Price Match Promise applies to the same dates as booked on Malmaison/Hotel du Vin websites.
The Price match applies to the same board basis, number of guests and stay dates as booked on Malmaison & Hotel du Vin website.
For claims concerning a booking of two or more consecutive nights (at the same hotel), the Price Match Promise applies on the basis of the price per night and not on the total amount of the stay.
The sales conditions associated with the rate on another Internet site must be the same as the sales conditions of the rate booked on Malmaison and Hotel du Vin sites in order for the Price Match Promise to apply. This includes any pre-payment/deposit requirements and any cancellation/modification conditions.
For example, when you book a room that may be cancelled without penalty on a Malmaison/Hotel du Vin website, you may not compare it to a room with a pre-paid or non-refundable price on a non-Malmaison/Hotel du Vin website. The Promise is not available for bookings on websites where the booking details are unknown until after purchase (including bidding sites).
If the rate found on another Internet site is given in a currency different from that of the rate booked on Malmaison/Hotel du Vin Internet sites, the administration department will convert this rate into the same currency as the rate offered on Malmaison/Hotel du Vin websites. The exchange rate used will be the exchange rate provided by the (Statistical Interactive Database – Bank of England) at the time of the initial reservation. Malmaison and Hotel du Vin reserve the right to refuse a claim, if the exchange rates used by both websites are different. Differences in the currency exchange rates are excluded from the offer.
The room category claimed for, lower average nightly rate and lower total room cost must be available and bookable on another website at the time of verification by the administration department, as determined by Malmaison and Hotel du Vin’s agents.
Claims form and claims validation
The online claim form can be accessed on both Malmaison and Hotel du Vin websites. All required fields must be completed and the form validated. Incomplete claims will not be accepted. A completed claim may be made within 24 hours following the booking made on the Malmaison or Hotel du Vin sites, as attested by the time on the booking confirmation, and 72 hours before the scheduled arrival at the hotel. If the original booking was made within the 72 hours preceding the arrival at the hotel, the Price Match Promise does not apply.
All claims are subject to verification by Malmaison and Hotel du Vin. We must be able to verify all elements of the claim and the required terms found on the non-Malmaison/Hotel du Vin website at the time the claim is processed and verify that both the room price and
the total room cost at the time of verification are lower than those found on the Malmaison and Hotel du Vin websites. Malmaison and Hotel du Vin do not accept screen shots of imagery of lower prices provided by guests due to the ease of modification or alteration of such imagery.
After verification by the administration department, the Price Match Promise will be granted if your claim meets all the conditions of application. The customer service department will send an e-mail with the reservation confirmation number as well as the new rate applicable. In the case of a prepaid reservation rate, the hotel will reimburse the difference in price on the credit card initially debited online. If the claim does not meet the conditions of the Price Match Promise, the customer service department will send you an e-mail stating that the Promise cannot be applied. Should you wish to cancel the reservation made on Malmaison and Hotel du Vin websites, the sales conditions applicable are those stated in the sales conditions presented on the site.
Liability and changes to this Promise and its terms
Malmaison and Hotel du Vin decline any responsibility regarding any expenses that may arise from cancelling a reservation, for all reservations made on any Internet site other than any Malmaison/Hotel du Vin website. We reserve the right to modify or terminate the Price Match Promise and its terms and conditions of this Promise at any time and without prior notice.
The Malmaison and Hotel du Vin Price Match Promise Terms and Conditions that are in effect at the time of your booking will determine your eligibility under the Price Match Promise.
