Information
The Laroche name has been synonymous with producing brilliant quality wine for over 100 years – in 1985 Michel Laroche of Chablis fame purchased the Mas la Chevaliere Estate in the Languedoc, South of France. In twelve years he has raised the profile of this wine region by producing top notch, modern, terroir-driven wines from this region with has almost limitless potential.
The red wines come from the 28ha Roqua Blanca vineyard, named after the white rocks that make up a part of the soil of the vineyard. The team goes in search of white grapes from the higher altitude Peyroli vineyard in order to retain that freshness in the rich and unctuous Chardonnay and Viognier.
