The Brasserie at the Liverpool Mal

Simple British classic dishes, uncompromising in quality, generous in portions. They've really pushed the envelope on this one you think as you peruse the menu. Local food from local food heroes - a dream that rarely materialses in the real world, let alone on your plate.

You start with the Menai oysters (with hopes that it may be that kind of evening), she goes for the duck. You're starting the flounder when things start to pick up. The waiter brings a wine of superstar proportions and the night begins in earnest. You're onto dessert, when suddenly she points at the tart she's had her eye on all night, but by then you've already made an exit for Plum bar.

Johnny Walker and the Vino Voyages

Headed up by world-class Sommelier Johnny Walker, every MALBAR sports a spectacular wine list, and regularly holds evenings for buffs and bluffers in the form of 'Vino Voyages'. Each voyage presents a guest wine producer and a sit-down feast perfectly matched to the featured wines.

    Mixology

Your Mixologist at the Mal is an artist. Skilfully blending and concocting, whatever your poison. You peruse the extensive list - Blackforest Martini or staple Tom Collins? Essential for high-octane weekends or impromptu school night forays.

  • The Kitchen

    The Kitchen

Find yourself in the middle of the action. You often wondered what it was like to work the Pass in a busy kitchen, now you find yourself right in the thick of it. With only a plate glass wall and a live TV feed between you and the wrath of Chef should you not love his carpaccio. It's a TV dinner with difference.

The Kitchen seats up to 10 people.

    The Boudoir

Dark and seductive with more than enough space for your nearest and dearest, you sit in the Boudoir. Shutting the door you're suddenly in that Parisian bordello you 'accidentally' wandered into last year in the Latin Quarter. We won't whisper a dickie bird.

The Boudoir seats up to 10 people.
